The Machine Op III is responsible for the operation of paramount printing and packaging machines to produce high-quality products according to customer specifications.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • This position is responsible for producing high quality products per customer specifications
  • Verify a chain of custody that accounts for all secure materials that are brought to the line and leave the line
  • Effectively communicate with assistants, vault custodians, maintenance and engineering
  • Verifying card sequences
  • Recognizing and correcting all product defects that occur on the line
  • Troubleshooting line issues and making adjustments, replacing parts or repairing the machine as needed
  • Employees are on their feet for the entire length of the shift
  • Responsible for filing out audit forms every shift that must be easily read by others
  • Knowledge on how to navigate a computer, relevant systems, files and folders

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Good manual dexterity & hand/eye coordination
  • Imaging line experience required
  • DOD imaging or ink jet printing required
  • Good attention to detail
  • Elementary English proficiency communication skills necessary
  • Ability and willingness to lead small work groups of machine assistants
  • Respond to changing conditions
  • Meet physical requirements; stand or sit for long periods of time,lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Skills

  • Computer experience
  • High mechanical aptitude
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Printing or graphics experience
  • Manufacturing experience with a strong technology base
