Overview

The Production Training Coordinator will coordinate the required training for new and current employees to ensure that the employees can perform to standards for their current position as well as assist in developing training programs that will prepare manufacturing production employees for future growth and development opportunities. In this role you will ensure the training is completed in an efficient, effective, and standardized way. You will also lead in the development and implementation of the full shop floor qualification program and support the planning, implementation, coordination & tracking of all training & development programs and strategies necessary to support the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality training and coordinate the production training program to ensure new employees have the knowledge, skills and ability to perform the manufacturing tasks for which they were hired.
  • Maintain training records, procedures, and job instructions.
  • Provide input on the development of internal Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Complete cross training and conduct refresher training as needed.
  • Select designated trainers for each shift and complete Train the Trainer
  • Follow up with employees on any post-training when needed.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to identify the training needs for individual employees and/or each department.
  • Perform certification on all employees.
  • Assess employees’ knowledge and skills and look for potential areas of development, and/or customize the training provided.
  • Spot Checks/Internal Audits as needed.
  • Follow up on Corrective Action training.
  • Provide input on the development of internal Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Provide feedback to Production management after new Process and Quality "Roll-Outs”
  • Support Department Managers and Supervisors on delivering Training Material within Department, by coordinating with internal Trainers and employees.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least three years of proven experience as a trainer, training facilitator or similar role
  • Training experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Ideal candidates will have experience developing and implementing company-wide training programs
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Conversational English required
  • Strong public speaking, training, and motivational skills
  • TWI Senior Trainer certification preferred
  • Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
