Overview

The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing production processes, supporting operational leaders in evaluating and implementing new equipment, and continuously improving manufacturing systems to enhance quality, efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness. This role plays a critical part in driving process innovation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and improves manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, waste reduction, and enhanced safety.
  • Develop, implement, and optimize workflows, space utilization, and equipment layouts to maximize productivity.
  • Design and implement automation and process improvement solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Supports the research, selection, installation, and validation of new equipment and technologies to enhance production capabilities.
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to support the introduction of new products, materials, and manufacturing technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Contributes to root cause analyses, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide training and guidance to operators and technicians on process enhancements and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years or relevant experience (strong internship experience considered for recent graduates)
  • Programming experience in embedded systems, PLCs, scripting, or C# is a plus.
  • Experience with CAD software for process layout and design.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Doing the Right Thing, Being a Great Partner, Staying Curious, and Striving for Excellence.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field preferred.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, mechanics, robotics, and computer technology.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance, and safety standards is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


Physical Demands:

  • Work is in a typical manufacturing environment; prolonged sitting and/or standing required (1-2 hours at a time); ability to move around the facility; climb ladders; crawl under/over; reach; bend; stoop; lifting up to 50lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to be present in the facility and work hours needed to accomplish job requirements for the associated shift effectively.
  • Work outside of shift may be required as job duties demand; ability to be available for all shifts required.
